App categories we sit with

Meditation, movement, sleep, and nutrition each fail in their own way. We keep those failures separate in the review.

Meditation and breath

People start a sitting, then abandon it when a reminder arrives during a meeting in KL Sentral or when a streak badge makes a missed day feel like a broken object. We read session finish, not minutes in the abstract, and we treat a three-minute breath exercise as a different object from a forty-minute body scan.

Movement and home workouts

Unfinished workouts cluster around the second exercise, around equipment the person does not own, and around outdoor runs scheduled at 2 p.m. in Selangor heat. We distinguish a completed cool-down from a video that merely played in another room. Permission for motion sensing is often the first wall.

Night

Sleep diaries and wind-down

Night one is where most sleep apps spend their manners. Bluetooth, bedside hardware, and a quiz about last week’s hours often arrive before a single card for tonight. Shift workers and parents of young children in condominiums along the LRT will not look like ‘poor sleepers’ if the first-run assumes a dark, quiet house at 10 p.m.

Food logs and meal plans

An empty log with no example meal is a cliff. Photograph-everything designs collect more than a review should hold. We read whether a lunch was saved, skipped, or abandoned at the search box, and we will not take a brief that requires us to store pictures of what people ate.

If your app sits between two of these — a wind-down that includes a short stretch, a meal plan with a walk after dinner — say so in the note. We will still pick a primary habit for the review so the document does not try to be four products at once.

We do not take diagnostic products, dosage trackers, or emergency buttons. Wellness is the door we will walk through. Clinical claims belong with other kinds of counsel.
